We are not government owned, but we make it seem likewe are, and may be a publicly traded entity.

We are government relationship specialists. Here is what our staff looks like: A very limited portion have academic degrees/licensure and the rest of the staff may have taken a certification course online. Those threequarters that will accredit you could have come from any number of sectors (it is not necessary for them to be a healthcare/addiction treatment provider specialist with the organization they are accrediting, and keep in mind this certification course is not 'addiction treatment provider' specific). For example: a carpenter, a friend or relative may be your accreditation specialist on-site. Are you or anyone you know ready to become a certified accreditation specialist? Go here: http://www.hcmarketplace.com/accreditation-specialist-boot-camp-1 or http://promos.hcpro.com/pdf/ASBC_Brochure.pdf

NOTE: It is not a requirement for any staff members to have this certification.

The main reason we acredit is mostly so that you can work with insurers, and ofcourse, to always improve quality of performance. We can also take a huge chunck of your revenue every year based on your number of beds and locations, charge you thousands for conferences, charge you thousands more for whatever else we can charge you for, and deliver expensive fine's if you don't comply.

Licensing is only by a government agency, and remember, we are not a government agency: "Licensing is the regulation of programs and services to ensure compliance with MINIMUM STANDARDS." http://www.nj.gov/humanservices/ool/faq/

We believe strongly in MINIMUM STANDARDS. We normally only hire the MINIMUM STANDARDS “expert to the expert's” we are accrediting (yet, call them experts) to go on-site.

All known accreditation bodies are a private third-party. They are an independent business created to advocate acceptance of any organizations quality of care, and improvement performance verticals. Some have been in business longer than others.
